Source London scheme will allow drivers to charge their vehicles across the capital

The government are to provide grants of up to £5,000 to encourage motorists in the UK to purchase the eco-friendly vehicles. From next month, drivers who buy the Mitsubishi iMiEV, the Mercedes-Benz smart Fortwo ED or the Peugeot iON are eligible for the grants.

Mitsubishi Electric has announced plans to invest several billion yen to increase production. In a release, the manufacturer said it will pump 6.5 billion yen into expanding its wafer production capacity for power devices by approximately 2.5 times that of the previous fiscal year.
