According to The Association For Manufacturing Technology (AMT) and the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association (AMTDA), U.S. machine tool consumption dropped almost 16 percent in April from March. Manufacturing technology consumption totaled $222.36 million, they said.

MTA survey shows uplift in orders and confidence

MTA: Manufacturing orders increasing

Results from the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) monthly survey for March show significant increases in order intake and invoiced sales amongst member companies. In addition, the survey reports a higher level of business confidence, an increase in new business enquiries and reveals that compared to February, more companies are employing staff than making redundancies. 

U.S. manufacturing consumption falls year-on-year in December

U.S. manufacturing consumption for December was $219.60 million, down 5.7 per cent from $232.93 million a year ago, new data from the American Machine Tool Distributors' Association (AMTDA) and Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) has shown. However, it was up 22.9 per cent from November 2009.
